Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular with more people looking for alternatives to gas and diesel cars. A concern to many people is however whether it is possible to travel longer distances. We set out on a journey across Europe in an electric vehicle – and found a lot of challenges along the way.
EU-OSHA, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, is set to launch its 2018-19 Healthy Workplaces Manage Dangerous Substances campaign jointly with the European Commission and the Bulgarian EU Council Presidency. The campaign challenges common misconceptions, raises awareness of the risks and disseminates good practice and resources for effective management of dangerous substances in the workplace.
A study coordinated by Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) examined the long-term fertilization effect of sewage sludge phosphorus on barley and ryegrass and transfer of contaminants to plants. According to the study, contaminants contained by sewage sludge were not transferred to above-ground plant parts.
